A capacity development project under the IHE Delft Partnership Programme for Water and Development (DUPC2)
Serious Game on transboundary water cooperation and water diplomacy
In the framework of the project, a role play to simulate transbounary water negotiations was developed in 2021. Since then, it has been applied during the module "Water Conflict and Cooperation" at IHE Delft and in various training. The Game aims at building an understanding of the complexities related to the governance of water resources at national and international levels through simulating a real-life environment. The game can be adapted to different group sizes with either bilateral or multilateral settings.
Advancement of educational excellence
With support of the DUPC2 Water Diplomacy project, IHE Delft, Oregon State University (US) and the University of Peace (Costa Rica) have established a joint master programme on water cooperation and diplomacy. More information can be found here.
